Heart Failure Day Treatment Services
If you have been diagnosed with heart failure or cardiomyopathy and you feel unwell, you can contact our service to receive same-day or following day care, depending on the urgency and severity of your symptoms.
You will receive hospital care, including blood tests, intravenous therapy, and diagnostic tests as required, without inpatient admission. We will assess the reason of your worsening symptoms; you will receive prompt treatment and a management plan. The heart failure and cardiomyopathy consultant will assess you and will lead your care. This will spare you a difficult journey to the emergency department or an unplanned hospital admission.
Call us if you experience any worsening symptoms, or you feel more fatigue or generally unwell and you know to have heart failure or cardiomyopathy.
Note: The Day Treatment Centre is a Day-Care -Hospital based service which allows single or multiple attendances, aiming to avoid inpatient admission, keeping yourself healthier outside the hospital. However, escalation to hospital admission is also possible, if clinically required.
